Michal Kristof


Partner, CHYBIK+KRISTOF Architects and Urban Designers

Michal studied architecture and urban design in Brno and Brussels and is also holder of the Rector’s Award from BUT in Brno. After graduation he worked at Bjarke Ingels Group – BIG in Copenhagen. In 2016 Forbes selected him in “30 under 30” list.

The studio was founded in 2010, by two classmates, Ondřej Chybík and Michal Krištof. The two young architects succeeded in forming a studio consisting of thirty associated architects. The studio boasts a large number of completed and on-going projects on which they work with a sense of local context with a large perspective. Last year, they opened two new branches in Prague and Bratislava.

Teemu Lehtinen


Chief Digital Officer, KIRA-digi Finland

Teemu is running the governmental KIRA-digi project which aims to boost digital transformation within the real estate and construction sector in Finland. KIRA-digi is a joint effort of public and private sectors and promotes digital experimentation by 40% of governmental funding. Over 100 experimental projects worth total over 10 Million Euros have been ignited during 2017-2018 covering the whole lifecycle of the built environment – from land use planning and zoning, all the way to the project level of design, construction, and use and maintenance of our built assets.
The project also promotes better information flow with open data and APIs and analyses the needs for legislative changes in order to achieve true platform economy within the built environment. Teemu has graduated from Information Networks study program and is finalizing his doctoral thesis at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at Aalto University. Teemu has been at Stanford University as a visiting scholar twice and is the local lead for AEC Hackathons in Finland. As a continuation for KIRA-digi, Teemu wants to co-found a Built Environment Innovation Hub in Helsinki to unite the Finnish innovation ecosystem and take the collaboration in the Nordics and globally to the next level.

Aleksander Doba


An extraordinary traveler, canoeist, conqueror and discoverer

Optimist of the Year 2018! In 2018, The New York Times chose him as the man who inspired the Americans! The first man in history who cruised alone across the Atlantic Ocean from continent to continent (from Africa to South America). “Traveler of the Year 2015” according to the American magazine “National Geographic”.
He sailed around the Baltic Sea and Lake Baikal. Also the first to sail around the whole Polish coast from Police to Elbląg and Poland diagonally from Przemyśl to Świnoujście. Two-time gold, silver and bronze medalist of the Open Academic Championships of Poland in mountain kayaking.
He graduated from the Poznań University of Technology, and from 1975 he lives in Police. He worked at Zakłady Chemiczne Police. He has a wife, Gabriela, and sons Bartłomiej and Czesław. He is the grandfather of three granddaughters: Olga, Agata and Olivia.
Olek has always actively spent his free time. He was a glider, parachutist, cyclist, sailor and yacht steersman. He started his kayak tourism in the “Alchemik” Kayak Canoe Club and in the Academic Club of Canoe Tourism “Pluskon” in Szczecin. He has all kayak badges of all levels of Polish organizations and the highest international ICF organizations (ICF gold – one of several in Poland). Leader of PTTK Canoe Tourism (1st degree), PZK Kayak Tourism Instructor, Instructor of Motorized Recreation, specialty: Canoeing. The team he created together with his sons (“ABC DOBA”), won the title of the Team Academic Polish Champion in Mountain Kayaking in 2000 and 2003.
Up to now, he has sailed on kayak over 100,000 km.
Author and co-author of many books. Winner of national and international awards and distinctions.

Ann Marie Aguilar

Director of Operations, Europe, IWBI


Ann Marie Aguilar joined the IWBI team in 2016, and from a base in London oversees the day-to-day activities of IWBI Europe. She supports the business development and technical teams and is the first point of contact for clients and design teams interested in all applications of WELL Certification. She brings to IWBI a technical background in sustainability consulting, having worked for 11 years with Arup Associates, the architectural consulting arm of Arup in their London offices.
Ann Marie earned her bachelor’s degree in architecture from the New York Institute of Technology and received Chartered Environmentalist status in 2012. She has extensive experience in LEED certification, material deconstruction and material reuse processes and is a WELL Faculty member. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, member of the Sustainability Futures Group at the RIBA and a member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.

Cosmin Cotora

Development Director, Cerway


Graduated from the EM Lyon School of Management and passionate about sustainable development issues, Cosmin started working in the field of sustainability consulting before joining a major energy facilities operator in Romania. He returned to France in 2011 to work for Cerqual, who delivers the green building certifications – including HQE – for residential buildings in France. This experience led him to get strong experience within the specific issues of improving environmental impact of housing and in particular social housing.
He is working since January 2014 for Cerway, subsidiary of Cerqual and Certivéa, as Development Director. Cerway is the international operator for the HQE Certification for green buildings – in construction and operation – and urban planning, with its main fields of intervention beeing in Africa, Europe and Brasil.

Kay Killmann

Managing Director, GBCI Europe


Having worked for over 15 years as an architect and consultant in the US, UK and Germany, Kay leverages his depth of professional experiences in building certification, construction and design to engage GBCI Europe’s diverse stakeholders. Kay is also the co-founder of the German Green Building Association (GGBA), a non-profit advocating the LEED and other GBCI benchmarks in Germany.
His activities in sustainability education range from developing and teaching professional programs at i.e. the University of Salzburg, IREBS and others, to implementing Green Apple Day for Bavarian grammar schools. Kay earned an engineering degree in architecture from the University of Applied Science at Aachen, Germany.
Kay is working hard to bring ‘reuse-reduce-recycle’ principles back to society. His sustainability efforts extend far beyond the office. He is an avid bike commuter, up-cycler, urban gardener and diligent father constantly reminding his kids to „turn off the lights“.

Martin Townsend

Director of Sustainability, BRE Global


Martin has a diverse professional background ranging from advising UK Ministers, as a Regulator in his time at the Environment agency, to working on many construction sites. Martin joined BRE (Global) as Director of BREEAM in 2008 to drive BREEAM forward not just in the UK market, but also internationally. Martin works closely with the construction industry bringing sustainability issues alive for companies’ right across Social, Economic and Environmental agenda.
Martin has set himself the challenge as Director to: accelerate and broaden the uptake of BREEAM tools throughout the industry; make BREEAM tools increasingly more challenging as fast as the market will bear; focus BREEAM development on market priorities and respond quickly and appropriately to market feedback; encourage and learn innovation in the UK and internationally; capture and benchmark best practise and disseminate that learning and ensure BREEAM tools are developed and managed in an open and transparent way.

Maria Andrzejewska

Director, UNEP/GRID-Warsaw

Maria graduated from the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies of the University of Warsaw with over 25 years of experience in environmental projects. UN Environment expert, involved in the work on the Global Environment Outlook 6th. EC expert on the subject of INSPIRE and data analysis, including satellite data on environmental issues. Initiator of SDGs Partnership “Together for the Environment” (2016), under which it cooperates with institutions and business in the field of sustainable development. Since 2008, she is Director of UNEP/GRID-Warsaw.

Agnieszka Sławomirska-Chmarzyńska

Founder and Managing Partner, Asset Management Master Class

Agnieszka is a Founder and a Managing Partner of the Asset Management Master Class (AMMC) a commercial real estate advisory company (www.ammc.com.pl), a property management passionate and author of numerous publications regarding real estates including ‘Office Space: The Property Manager Guide’ (‘Poradnik dla zarządcy budynku biurowego’) published in 2015.
Agnieszka’s latest noteworthy achivements include successful planning and execution of such projects as: office space commercialization including leasing strategies; restructuring of lease agreements; redevelopment strategies for office buildings followed by supervision of fit-out works; business plans and budgets (CAPEX, OPEX, MAREX); control and optimization of property costs including reduction of service charges.
For several years, Agnieszka has been running successful lectures, training courses and workshops on various aspects of asset, property and facility management. Agnieszka gained experience working as an asset and property manager in the leading real estate companies including Cushman & Wakefield, Savills and Cromwell Property Group among others. Agnieszka is a graduate of Law and Administration of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. She is a licensed real estate agent, licensed property manager and a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).

Joanna Ejsmont

Sustainability Coordinator, Skanska Property Poland

Joanna Ejsmont has been associated with the Skanska team since January 2016, when she became a Sustainability Coordinator at Skanska Property Poland – a property development company implementing office projects in Poland. Joanna is responsible for the company’s strategy in the field of social dimension of sustainable development in areas such as: placemaking (public space management in the context of investments), biodiversity of projects and community investment. She supports project teams in creating public spaces based on the philosophy of a holistic approach to design, planning and management of places that are oriented to the user’s needs. Joanna also coordinates the processes of introducing architectural accessibility standards for office projects which are implemented by Skanska. Before joining Skanska, Joanna was associated with various architectural offices for 10 years, taking part in international public utility projects. Joanna studied architecture at the Gdańsk University of Technology (MArch), at the Fachhochschule Koblenz and in Liege (Belgium) at the Institut Supérieur d’Architecture Saint-Luc de Wallonie. In addition, she completed postgraduate Artetherapy studies in 2014 and Leadership in Innovation studies in 2018. Joanna is a member of the Placemaking Leadership Council (PLC).

Daniel Hojniak

Senior Sustainability Consultant, Sweco Consulting sp. z o.o.

Daniel Hojniak is a Sustainability & Wellbeing specialist, involved in some of the largest commercial and residential projects currently developed in central London. Responsible for the coordination of the certification process of skyscrapers South Bank Tower and Centre Point as well as Bloomberg’s European HQ. The 100,000 m2 building achieved the highest design-stage score ever by any major office development (98.5%) and has been acclaimed as “the world’s most sustainable office”. Daniel is a BREEAM, LEED and WELL Accredited Professional. Having worked for the last  few years for Sweco UK, he recently returned to the Sustainability Department in Poland. Daniel holds holistic knowledge about the latest trends in the Western European real estate market. He will certainly share his thoughts on the differences between the approach to modern building technologies in Poland and abroad.

Flemming Idsøe

Project Manager, Omsorgsbygg Oslo KF

Flemming works as a project manager at Omsorgsbygg Oslo KF, a public building owner in Oslo. His projects focus on energy efficiency in combination with great indoor climate. Currently he is working on Tåsenhjemmet, a nursing home built in CLT with goals of being the first energy positive nursing home. The project is setting an aim of GHG-emission reduction of more than 50%, and will achieve carbon-negativity from energy use and materials. Flemming is also involved in the heavy focus of Oslo in realizing emission free construction sites.

Andrzej Losor

Marketing and Communication Director, Górażdże Group

Andrzej Losor has been with Górażdże Group for over 15 years. He started his professional career in sales structures, holding, inter alia, the position of sales area manager. In 2003-2008 he was a sales consultant as a HeidelbergCement Group’s representative in Ukraine, being responsible for the construction of the sales team and sales processes. He played a similar role in 2011-2012 in Kazakhstan. Since 2013, he has been managing the Marketing and Communication Department of Górażdże Group, also heading as the vice-chairman of the Górażdże Foundation – Active in the Region. He is actively involved in the work of industry associations, including Association of Cement Producers, the Concrete Producers Association, as well as the Polish Green Building Council.
Economist, graduate of the University of Opole and the University of Economics in Wroclaw, as well as prestigious international development programs implemented within the concern HeidelbergCement. He is an expert in the field of customer experience management, change management and CSR, as well as a business coach.

Paweł Maśny

Sales manager of IKEA Home Solar, IKEA Retail sp. z o.o.

Paweł joined IKEA in 1999 as a salesman and was later responsible for various areas of furniture and home accessories. Since 2016, he has been involved in the launch of PV sales for retail clients – “IKEA. Home Solar” programme. Currently, he is the head of photovoltaics sales in Poland. He is responsible for product offer and customer service.

Privately a father of two. Active sportsman (kayaker) and gardener.

Mateusz Płoszaj-Mazurek

Architect, Bjerg Arkitektur. Certified Passive House Designer. Faculty of Architecture, Warsaw University of Technology

Mateusz is leading Passive House building projects in the Polish branch of Danish architectural office Bjerg Arkitektur. Responsible for design supported by energy and environmental analyses. He graduated from the University of Aalborg (Denmark). Currently PhD student at Faculty of Architecture, Warsaw University of Technology with the research area in sustainability, energy efficiency and carbon footprint.

Ewa Kowalska-Ocneanu

Chief Sustainability, WSP Polska

Ewa is the Chief of the Sustainability Department at WSP Polska and has over 25 years of experience in environmental protection, mainly in the construction, retail and property industry. She has worked in a number of international companies providing expert advice in the field of green buildings, sustainability, waste management, energy efficiency and CSR. She is a licensed BREEAM International and BREEAM Accredited Professional assessor, and BREEAM In-Use auditor, providing assessment and consulting to help clients achieve green accreditation across Poland and the CEE region. Ewa has experience in project management and sustainable urban development consultancy. She is directly responsible for over 60 projects, including office, retail, industrial, residential and hospitality uses, what makes her one of the most experienced green buildings specialist in Poland.

Manuela Ojan

Sustainable Construction Manager, HeidelbergCement. ExCo Member, GBC Italia

Manuela is an engineer engaged for more than twenty years’ in the environmental field. She has a broad international experience in Climate protection, being passionately involved both in the political debate and at implementation level, such as the development of sectoral Carbon reduction Roadmaps. She hold for 10 years the position of Climate protection manager at ItalcementiGroup. Manuela is currently the Sustainable Construction manager in the Global Environmental Sustainability department at Heidelbergcement Group, the second global cement producer worldwide and active in 12 GBC worldwide. She has been appointed as the focal point in the company for product stewardship issues, in particular promotion of sustainable products, LCA and EPD development, and related public affairs activities. She is chairing the sustainable construction task force at the European Cement Association. Since 2014, Manuela has complemented her strictly professional duties with a role as member of the executive committee of GBC (Green Building Council) Italia, with responsibility on rating schemes and International Relations. She is a LEED Green Associate and has hands-on experience in LEED and DGNB, as well as in Green Public Procurement standards.

Bogusz Parzyszek

Maria Shmelova

Maria has many years of experience in coordinating various projects financed by Polish and foreign funds. Przemysław Skorupa

Graduate of Automatic Control and Robotics at Gdańsk University of Technology. Member of Polish Committee on Illumination and Polish Green Building Council (PLGBC). Professionally associated with the lighting industry for nearly 15 years. During this time, he worked in the department of lighting design, lighting sales, sales of lighting components and control systems. At the moment Przemysław is responsible for development and sales of Helvar lighting control systems in 27 countries, where he cooperates with a network of 17 regional partners. Propagator of lighting control systems based on DALI, taking into account systems that support human circadian rhythm. Ewa Kosmala

Owner of Sustainability Trainers & Experts (ST&E)

She graduated from the Faculty of Construction of the Silesian University of Technology with a specialization in building physics as well as marketing and management at the Cracow University of Economics. She has more than 20 years of experience in eco-construction and sustainable construction, as well as in managing environmentally sustainable construction products. Specialist in sustainable development, building physics and public affairs. She participates in the works of 5 PKN committees, including KT 307 for sustainable construction and conducts international projects in this area. He is also involved in the evaluation of multi-criteria buildings and environmentally sustainable products. She is an assessor of BREEAM International, LEED Green Associate, HQE speaker and energy auditor.
She graduated from the prestigious World Class Speaker Academy with the highest level III certificate and Train the Trainer (H. Eker; RBC) courses. She is an authorized lecturer at NAPE (National Energy Conservation Agency) and a coach at Milewski&Partners. She is also a certified Master Facilitator. She gained her knowledge from mentors such as Łukasz Milewski, Anthony Robbins, Blair Singer, T. Harv Eker and Brian Tracy.
